8/12-Dwayne Hickman

Dwayne Hickman-The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis
Dwayne Bernard Hickman (born May 18, 1934) is a former American child/teen actor andtelevision executive of CBS, who is primarily known for his roles on sitcoms and television. The naturally brown-headed Hickman is best known for playing Bob Collins's (played by Bob Cummings) crazy teenaged nephew, Chuck MacDonald on the popular 1950s TV series, The Bob Cummings Show (a.k.a, Love That Bob), and the title character in The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis.

On December 2, 1990, while working at CBS, Hickman received word that his longtime friend Bob Cummings had passed way, hence, he andBob Cummings Show co-star Ann B. Davis attended Cummings' funeral.
Hickman was grief-stricken, when on September 2, 2005, his classmate, best friend and Dobie Gillis co-star/comedian, Bob Denver had died, hence, he attended Denver's funeral. Hickman said on his website that he knew Denver for 50+ years, but only knew him briefly from a play on stage. He also said that before Hickman's The Bob Cummings Show was on the brink of cancellation, Denver auditioned [along with 20 new and young guys] for the part of Maynard G. Krebs opposite Hickman's character in The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, the secretary's brother knew Denver got the part, the rest was history. Hickman also helped Denver became a star, after his series' star, years earlier in the 1950s.
